It's free to travel on the bus, sir! Leeds Armed Forces day - 23 June 2018

22-06-2018

On Saturday 23 June we'll be supporting Leeds Armed Forces Day by offering free travel to members of the armed forces past and present. This year we're also extending the offer to accompanying partners and children, and members of the cadet adult volunteers.

The festivities will take place on Briggate in Leeds city centre, with market stalls, military vehicles and a brilliant entertainment line up, including the fantastic West Yorkshire Police Band which promise to make 2018 a fun filled day out for all the family.

Alex Hornby, our CEO, said: “We're delighted to show our support for our armed forces. Our employees are always eager to help wherever they can to show how much they value what our service men and women do for our country. It's great to be able to offer free travel to make it easier for them to get out to attend the many splendid events that are taking place across the north.”

Veterans, current members of the armed forces, or cadet adult volunteers, need to show their ID cards for free travel, or be wearing uniform or displaying their medals.
